Maggie’s Farm started as our personal attempt to create a sustainable agrosystem in our backyard. We started small, with just a raised bed and a compost pile. Then we added our hens. After that came the worm bin…then the bees….then the quail. Eventually we started to think bigger, and we started to dream of how we might turn our small backyard project into a working farm, that could feed not just our little family, but our friends and neighbors as well.
In August of 2019 we finally took a decisive step towards making our dream a reality. We leased 6 acres right behind our longtime family farm (Brentlinger Farm), and Taylor left his teaching job to focus on getting Maggie’s Farm up and running.
